Yesterday morning I woke up like most of you thinking TGIF....
What an amazing Friday....Spent the whole day at Legoland with Hannah and her first grade class. It was Hannah's first time, so the excitement was unbearable for her.
After an ever so enjoyable day, it was off the the baseball field for Cody's championship. This game would determine if the boys would qualify for the Tournament of Champions. Austyn was opening game pitcher and Cody was the closer. Between the two of them they both pitched a NO hitter. There were 2 double plays and ALL the boys had hits with great sticks!! Winning the game 4-0 against the Dodgers.
The Menifee Valley Little League Major Angels are going to TOCs!

Always LUVing Baseball
Heather Romano of Heather Romano Photography took this awesome action shot of Cody yesterday afternoon during our (Menifee Valley Little League Major Angels) second championship game. He's aggressively stealing third base and the umpire called him SAFE!
Thank you Heather!

Working on it...
Hello! Here's the latest LO. It's not finished...Still working on it...needs a little somethin' somethin'.
Oh my...
these photos were taken back in November 2006. I've moved away from scrapping in chronological order. How'd I get over the control of doing things in order? I dunno?! I say just do what you love and what inspires you!
Check back later... to see what I've pulled outta my scrapping tote.

Memorial Day Baseball Tourny...
Despite losing their first game yesterday afternoon. Cody and his team took control of the second game. Cody pitched five innings, made 64 throws with a two hitter at the Big League of Dreams. His team the Paloma Valley Wildcats played in the replica stadium of Wrigley Fields. They won the game 3 to 1 against the Atecz. He and his teammates are there again today to try and vie for ranking.
Come back to the blog and I'll share the results of today's games.

U Pick Them!
While surfing the world wide web mid April, I came upon http://www.pickyourown.org/ . I was wanting to find a place local to us where you could pick berries. Low and behold there it was... a little farm in Temecula. It's called Temecula Berry Co. and you can pick your own blueberries on the weekend!
Temecula Berry Company began as a family farm in the late 90's. Since then, Ray & Mike Graesser (father & son) have planted 10 acres of southern highbush blueberries in the Temecula Valley.
It's a super inexpensive way to have the whole family enjoy the outdoors, have a sweet photo shoot and the special treat plump healthy blueberries. Hannah and I plan to make some blueberry muffins and scones with the fruit we picked. YUM!
While the weather is dry sneak away to the farm for a small adventure. Pack up the kids and go today!

Silly Question...
To all my friends...With all the weather climate change I'm developing a sore throat. Yuck! Do any of you home remedies or family secrets to avoid the doctor or OTC meds?

Tuesday Thoughts...
It's been so hot the last few days here... huh? I was happily surprised to wake up at 5:30 this morning and open the windows to fresh cool air. Such a refreshing change from the 108 degree oven heat of the last 4 days!
Here are a few images of my day...
Yipee we'll able to conserve a little water today because of the cool weather.
Hannah left a sweet a note Dave and I on the kitchen island. I found on my way to make our morning java. The front reads "Love is in the Air"...isn't that a title to a 70's song? The back reads:
I love you mommy and Daddy. You are fun to do stuff with. You have both taught me a lot of stuff. Daddy taught me tenes (tennis) mommy taught me how to craft. I love you mommy and Daddy. Love, Hannah
Look at the yummy buttons I need to sort into my button jars...pink and green.
Enjoy your day!

Mom, This is for You.
Today... I'm inclined to quote Abraham Lincoln....
All I am, or can be, I owe to my mother.
This is how Hannah, my mom and I shared a lovely day together.

Keep It Simple...
I'm keeping things simple... how? By showing my children I enjoy spending time with them.
These past few weeks I've been fortunate and shared my time by helping in Hannah's first grade class room. It's been so fun to observe the social practices of these 11 seven year olds. They're smart, observant and confident!
The best part of this whole experience is seeing their happy smiling faces when I walk into the class room and being welcomed with, "Yeah!!! Mrs. McCoy, you're here"! Hannah's face lights up and she feels so proud to have me participate in her class routine. : )
Look at the fun craft we created. Everyone is so proud of their little pots of happiness!
I love being a mom! Everyday I remind myself to strive to Keep It Simple.
