Turning 8 is Great

Whew....so much fun! We celebrated Hannah's birthday tonight. She chose a High School Musical theme. It was perfect timing with HSM 3 at theatres. With the help of the Internet I was able to print up movie ticket stub invitations. Then I spent a few days searching for supplies. I found HSM prizes for the goodie bags and game prizes. Party City had the HSM cupcake paper cups and the cute candle. The HSM 3 sound track was in stock at Target, so the games were all set...freeze dance and hot East High basket ball (like hot potato). It turned out the most popular game was "pin the kiss" on Troy. After the party the girls took a tour of the movie theatre and then watched the feature HSM 3.

More to the basket...

Many of you know me as someone who has to keep her hands busy. Well...I for sure found a way to keep my fingers tips dirty with paint, ink and glue. Take a look below. Mini album scraplifts from Kristie's creations. They're perfect additions to my basket of memories.

Silly Kitty

This is Gracie. She just turned 1 year old a few weeks ago. Gracie seeks out her best buddy, Cody all the time. Hannah is green with envy because all the kitty's affections go to her big brother. Although Hannah is proud to say that Gracie's favorite toy is her pink boa. Gracie is quite playful but very naughty.

Look where Cody found her this morning. Talk about a balancing act...

Autumn Delight

It's November. Autumn changes do not hold the same views in Southern California as it does on the east coast. My brother shared the following photos of his trip to the Hudson Valley. I love the vibrant colored leaves on the trees and I can almost feel the crisp cool air.

My remedy to cure the envy of autumn is to bake Pumpkin Delight. Yumm....warm....sweet goodness.

Eerie Edibles...

After school yesterday...I promised Hannah we'd make some creepy Halloween cupcakes. When I went shopping at the store I had an inspiration and chose against the cupcakes. Look at these eerie edibles...

Dug up from the grave...Caramel Apples. Yumm... So easy, so messy and so much fun...I'm looking forward to scrapping these photos.

Party #2

Such a sugary fun filled Halloween Birthday Party that Hannah enjoyed today. It was an afternoon of creative costumes, creepy treats, spooktacular games and wicked cool cupcakes.

Aaaggrr....yo, ho, yo, ho....

Fall fun...

We got lost in the huge 1 acre corn maze at Peltzer Farms. The corn stalks rise about 10ft in height and the enter sign warns of a snake sighting...Yikes. This popular attraction sure put a smile on our faces.

Wickedly Sweet...

I love that Hannah loves Halloween. It's sorta hard not to enjoy Halloween, what... with the dressing up and of course all of the candy...


This year Hannah was invited to not just one but two Halloween Birthday Parties. Here's a photo of her before party #1...Please forgive me as a tear up...Sorry...I'm a bit emotional...it's the first year she hasn't begged to be a Disney Character.

Babseball is for the kids...

As you all know much of our family time is spent on a baseball field. Dave and Cody absolutely live for it. Most of the boys on the this travel ball team are very familiar with each other. They were previous teammates or have played competitively against each other. It's amazing that no matter where they began playing baseball they are all developing into young men together. Yeah...I know...only a mom would say something like that! I can't help it...all you baseball mom's now what I'm trying to say.

Hannah and I show our support by just being there. I enjoy watching the plays from the stands with a camera in hand. Lately it's been Susie camera...Thank you! You can find me with the other parents rooting each team member on as they succeed and encouraging them through the many challenges.

Hannah like most of the other siblings show their support by keeping each other occupied. During this tournament they played some type of Mummy game. I love how it doesn't matter what age you are, boy or girl...you're included because you have a brother who's on the team.

There are times when I can not figure out where the boys get the energy to play in the hot sun, back to back, 6 inning games, with only a few minutes to rest in between. Look who I caught taking a little cat nap.
